Before you hit that submit button, take a moment to explore our publishing niche. Our catalogue embraces a rich blend of fiction and nonfiction, catering to readers of all ages—from the littlest ones to the grown-ups.
At our core, Zou Zou Media House is on a quest to amplify a wide array of voices and perspectives, especially those that have been underrepresented in the literary world. This includes but certainly isn't limited to, creators from Indigenous, Black, people of colour and differently-abled communities.
Your unique voice could be the one to enrich our list!

Submission Guidelines
1. Synopsis of Your Work
Please tell us what happens in your story. Attach a brief synopsis (no more than 500 words) that gives us a sense of the plot and important events. Include the ending, pretty much how the story wraps up. We’d also like to know the inspiration behind your story. Yes, we’re requesting spoilers, one of the few times they are welcome—they can be an important selling feature of the book!
2. The Manuscript (the manuscript must be in Doc/Docx only.)
Adult Fiction and Nonfiction: Send the first three chapters of your manuscript.
Teen Books: Send the first three chapters of your manuscript.
Children's Picture Books: Send the entire manuscript. No tracked/marked pages
3. No illegal submissions. All manuscripts must be original work. We recognize AI is a valuable tool, however, we prioritize human creativity and effort. We kindly request that submitted manuscripts contain no more than 30% AI-generated content to maintain authenticity and integrity of our publications.
4. We do not accept stories that pertain to the occult, or stories that include excessive violence and sexuality.
Please note that we aim to respond to submissions for children’s books, journals or short stories within 15 days. Chapter books will require up to 45 days of the initial submission.

Illustrators
Please send up to 8 samples of your work and a C.V by e-mail to info@zouzoumedia.co.
Please put “ATTN: Illustrator’s Portfolio” in the subject line. We will only respond if interested but will keep your portfolio on hand for future projects.
