Our mission is to ensure that every child has access to books, sees themselves represented in the stories they read, and is empowered to grow as both a reader and a creator, by making literacy accessible, engaging, and meaningful in every community we serve.

The ZouZou Bookmobile is more than a mobile library.

It is a literacy activation program designed to increase reading engagement, support student voice, and create meaningful access to books in schools and communities.

We partner with schools, organizations, and communities to deliver curriculum-connected experiences that support student achievement while making reading visible, social, and empowering.

FAQs

  • Each booking includes set-up and teardown of our signature curated literary experience. One member of our team will be present or on call.

    One read-aloud and one activation (African-inspired dance) is included.

    Optional add-ons may include themed decor, music, or additional live performances.

  • Yes! The Bookmobile proudly serves the Greater Toronto Area and beyond. We’re available for bookings across Ontario, other provinces, and even internationally upon request.

  • Absolutely. The exterior of the Bookmobile can be draped or decorated to suit your private event (e.g. birthday parties, corporate functions, etc.), making it uniquely yours for the day.

  • Yes. A travel fee of $0.85/km will be applied for round-trip travel beyond the Greater Toronto Area.

  • Yes. A $1,000 deposit is mandatory for all bookings. This is to cover potential damages and is fully refundable if no damage by your guest or as a result of your specific rental occurs.

  • We understand that weather can be unpredictable. In the case of rain or extreme conditions, we’re happy to reschedule. The decision to reschedule is completely up to you.

  • Yes. We can make special arrangements to travel across provinces or to the US. We have partnered with a shipping company that will ship our truck for longer distances. Additional planning and travel charges will apply.
